    Rajasthan: Life term for youth who raped 5-year-old

    A Pocso court in Kota on Tuesday sentenced a 24-year-old to life in jail for raping a 5-year-old girl in Anantpura police station area here in April 2017. The court also imposed a fine of R. 60,000 on the convict. POCSO court-4 sentenced Anil Sahariya of Uttar Pradesh, who was a daily wage labourer in a warehouse in Anantpura, to life in jail for abducting and raping the daughter of his neighbor, public prosecutor, Pocso court-4 Dheerendra Choudhary said.

    Apart from swine flu and vector-borne diseases, the state is facing a new threat of tick-borne diseases. Sixteen people have died, while 3,111 persons were diagnosed with the tick-borne diseases in 2019. The zoonotic diseases are transmitted by parasitic mites which are found in domestic animals such as cattle, sheep and goats. Once get infected with virus or bacteria, the mites may transmit the disease to humans.
